12/14  addition:No sooner do I mention John Birch Society's 30 year old criticism of Mugabe, than it pops up in the Sunday paper as an astute observation by the L.A. Times.  There is stuff worth re-writing from a humor perspective.  But it is not yet fully researched by the Times. The huimor takes more than an old article or two to find.  What socialist nationalist ethno racial movement had no bloodbath.  Rhodesia's was light compared to all the others.  Get off it L.A. Times/Tribune/ Sam Zell.  You want someone in  your camp to get the Diamonds and unique Bauxite reserves.  How can you fault Mugabe for his backward water system when the Zumbab people are under the toughest most pervasive economic sanctions in the world.  How is Zumbabwe frontpage for 20 year old small scale atrocities while far worse go on today in Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya Eritrea, and Ethiopia against Christians by Muslims to mention Africa alone, omittting Mosul and Hindu Orissa province with a bounty on Christians.  Oh, I forgot. Western Journalists fear Muslims, fear Allah, and al qaeda.  Heads might roll off cowardly shoulders.  Plus, no diamond and bauxite(Chrome) wealth to pilfer.

12/16/08Make no mistake about it. Southern African intrigue is about the diamonds, or the oil or in Zimbabwe's case, the chromium(bauxite)and the diamonds.  The status quo if peaceful, is always better for the people than war.  Just ask a million displaced often maimed some murdered Kenyan Christians about the matter all Kenya got out of it is Somali and Luo states within their state.  It's the fiftyseventh muslim state Obama mentioned.
