Listening to Rush Limbaugh. He referred to something or other as a heresy against capitalism. I hate to take Rush to task and don’t mean to. From this we can learn something, I think. Capitalism, as at its website obviously, is a religion with attendant doctrine and dogma that must be strictly adhered to or else you are a hetical heretic to be caste out, excommunicated. It is also true of liberalism, conservatism, socialism/communism, etcetera, If these are religions, no wonder there is no place for Christians who are marginalized at best, opposed and persecuted at worst, by all these groups. Christianity needs to organize on the American political scene. Note: Heresy was punishable by death not so very long ago. What ever happened to “they had all things in common” in the book of Acts new living translation “They felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.” Heretical thing, that there Bible, eh, Say it ain’t such, Rush. Please say naw, Mr. Limbaugh.
