A June day that’s cool and clear in the desert seems far away not here

But here it is to enjoy the day stacked on day and day and day

Will it ever go away?

No tourists from L.A. this day, nor San Diego’s gloomy bay

You never saw a June like this in Palm Springs or even in Desert Hot Springs

So bring your opposite or your same

get to the desert and test the weather

will it stay? Grow old and gray?

My dog and I were nearly alone save for the cutest young lady that ever

stopped in for a few in the beautiful weather

Her name ia Diane and I hope that our town is her pleasure
