John 2 worked out for you John 2 part one: On the third day, think resurrection, There was a wedding, Jesus began calling out his church age bride on resurrection day, Jesus came to gather a heavenly bride, in Cana, i.e. Canaan, Canaanites, land of Canaan Canaan was one of the six nations or Goiim Joshua was charged with driving out before them to establish the nation of Israel, Jesus' bride will primarily include Goiim. Canaan, also name of disgraced son of Ham at the time of Noah's disgrace. Now, the Mother of Jesus was there. Mary, chosen arc (of the new covenant) to bring Jesus into the world, tested by God, carried Jesus in an apparently unmarried condition (though her overshadow-er who overshadowed the face of the deep may lay a husband-like claim). Mary is at the wedding. Remember that her wedding to Joseph had to be one in the quietest of circumstances for she was already found to be with child. Now she affirms marriage by attendance and participation. Mary though she may never have consummated her own wedding appears to be a person in authority at this wedding, whosoever's it may have been. Perhaps she was a wedding planner or a wedding conductor. Now, her Son Jesus also was invited, and His disciples, to the wedding. and his disciples, who but Mary could have invited them who were not his disciples three days earlier. She all the more likely was a planner of the wedding. And when the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine." How is she informed? Complain to an honored guest? Who but an honored guest is able to pad the guest list? She is a planner. like me. Now, Jesus said to her "Woman of prophecy," "What has this to do with you and I?" "My hour has not yet come." Why isn't our Lord rushing to his destiny? As if a mother eagle destroying the nest, the mother of the incarnate God pushes Jesus into His divine mission. As if He is the son of Jesus' parable who said "No!" then went and did the will of the Father, Mary disregarded his protestations and: His mother said to the waiters, "Whatever He says to you, do it." Again, Mary is accepted as a supervisorial authority by the waiters. The waiters filled by bucket the footwashing baths wit 180 gallons of water. Jesus had them take some to theheadwaiter who didn't know it hadbeen water. He commended the bridegroom for the quality of the wine though it was served last. This began Jesus' seven signs proving his deity, manifesting His glory as God. There his disciples believed in Jesus.
John 2 part 2 After the wedding, Jesus, His mother, His brothers and His disciples all went down to Capernaum, and there stayed a few days. Passover was coming, so they went up to Jerusalem and went to the temple. There Jesus became incensed at what He saw. Right in the sanctuary, auctions were loudly called out for sheep and oxen, doves were sold from cages. Moneychangers sat greedily anticipating the next profit. Jesus went and He bought skins and cut them on a long taper and braided the cords together into a perfectly crafted bullwhip. As He worked his fury settled down via Holy Spirit fruit self control. As He worked righteous zeal built up in Him the conviction what He had to do. Whip cracking in the air about the ears of the four footed beasts they ran wildly out of the temple under the whip-cracking general direction of Jesus. He drove them all out of the temple with the sheep and oxen. He poured out the moneybags and baskets of the moneychangers and overturned their tables. But to those who sold only doves to the poor He merely told them, "Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a pack of thieves. His disciples remembered memorizing the scripture, "My love for your house has eaten me up." psalm69:9 The Jews, now a derogatory, challenged him asking a sign of his authority to do these things. Jesus said, "Destroy this temple, and, in three days I will raise it up." On the third day he rose from the dead fulfilling His own prophecy. During the feast of passover in Jerusalem many believed in His name beholding His signs which He was doing. Jesus entrusted himself to none of them for He knew all men. He didn't need to be taught about man. He, himself knew what is in man.
