New Year is for you to recieve of Newness of life. Old life we had at conception, a product of parental intimacy. Jesus said we must as a little child have faith in him to be born again into a newness of born again life, life in Him. Next, 2 Cor 5:15 Those who live Newness of life in Jesus should live for Him Who died for them and rose again. because 2 Cor 5:17 If any is in Him, he is a New creation. Old has died, New is born, regenerated. The New is all about God accepting our surrender and befriending us by adopting us as sons, brethren of Christ Jesus. New ministry is given us, one of "Surrender and be friended by God." Why? 2 Cor 5:21 God made Jesus, Who knew no sin, to be sin for our sake, purposefully, that we should be Newly born as the righteousness of God, born into Newness of Life in Jesus. 2 Peter 3:7, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Our world is destined for destruction by fire to judge the Godless. Jesus preserves the world to allow more of us to surrender and be friended by God. Regarding conflagration of the universe, we should live in Newness of life in Jesus, Holy, dedicated to Jesus Christ. This New Year: wait for God's promise: New heavens, New Earth, New Jerusalem! Eph. 5:26, 27 To this purpose Jesus washes us with the water of His word purposefully to receive us glorious, no spot nor wrinkle, holy without blemish. Colossians 3:9, -14 Throw out your old self and habits. Wear the new self, the New creation which God, our creator, is constantly re-Newing in His own image purposefully to birth in you Bible Teaching about Himself. Newness of life in Christ breaks down racial and ethnic barriers by mutual anointing and indwelling of Christ. As God's beloved and elect wear the New man as fruit of the Holy Spirit: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, being tolerant and forgiving, bonded together in love. Romans 12:2 Let God transform you by re-Newing your mind this New Year. Let Bible Teaching renew your mind! Cornelius and the birthday of the gentile(Latin) church. Acts 10:44-6: The Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard the Bible Teaching...the gift of the Holy Spirit...poured out on the gentiles...they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. It was New still feels new today.
p.s. I tell my audiences that 1. all believers should pray in tongues and 2. assembly tongues should only be one by one only if there is an interpretation. I tell them to be in private, willing and spiritual, having confessed their sins and perhaps giving thanks, praise or singing to God, then they should let out vocal sounds of any kind of vowel and then a consonant or two and let God take it from there. Maybe let praise in English happen so they are sure it isn't demonic or selfwilled. It has worked in my Bible Study. I teach we are filled with the Holy Spirit when saved until we sin and re-filling is by confession of sins. I only asked one of my audience did this method of acquiring use of tongues work in his life. He responded in the affirmative. When I inquired he said it helped him in his life. I am open to some ceremonial baptism of the Holy Spirit if it will encourage my audiences or me, I suppose.
