Hebrews 1:1-5 God spoke first to the world through prophets and psalmists, poets and Kings, Military leaders, freedom fighters, abolitionists, Religious rightwingers-like Jehu-and so many different ways-like Angels-and even an ass(donkey). Now God speaks to us at the eve of the last week of the Jewish age through His Son, his heir, heir of David's throne, heir of all the Bible's promises, heir to a special anointing of glory made just for Him. Through God's son creation and the seven days miracle of creation without him both no creation and no point for it. The Son speaking God's latest message to us is also the effulgence of God's glory, and God's radiance as pertains to us. He is the exact representation of God's nature, He upholds and holds together all things by the Word of His power. When he had accomplished the way of purification of sins through dying for them in human form and rising from the dead then He sat down glorified at the right hand of the majesty of God's throne on high. He always was vastly superior to the angels He Himself created. Now in His humanity he shares with us He has also become as far superior to them as His name, The Lord our God, is greater than their name, mere Messengers. What angel did God tell "You are my Son, Today I have begotten You" Ps 2:7 and also "I will be a Father to Him and He, a Son, to me. Hebr. 1:6-14 Then when He brings His firstborn into the world He says, "All the angels of God must worship Him" About angels "Who makes the angels less, they are winds, breaths, zephyrs. He the Son makes His own ministers to be flames of fire." (check out Ps. 104 to impress yourself with Jesus' deity.)Of the Son Holy Scripture says, Thy throne, O God, (Jesus is God) is forever and ever, (Beyond time for deity transcends time.) Righteous rulership authority is the rulership authority The Son rules with as sovereign Lord and Kingly monarch forever. God anointed Jesus: the anointing with the oil of Joy and gladness, anointing oil of Happiness and blessedness. This sets Jesus above all his human subjects. This anointing is demanded by Jesus love of righteousness and hatred for lawlessness of antinomians who are laws unto themselves. The Earth is not naturally formed. It has foundations laid by God the Son, likewise the heavens were handcrafted by the created worlds and heavens we observe and beyond our observation. But the Son of God will live on, when they are destroyed Jesus will live on. For this universe is only a mantle(cape) and garment to become worn out, rolled up, folded and discarded and changed for new clothes revealing the absolute splendor of Christ our Gods glory long ages after they are gone. With respect to Messengers v.13 To which Angel did God the father say "Sit on the Throne to the right of mine while I crush your enemies beneath your feet?" None of them. Why? because they are just ministering spirits to those who, including us, inherit with Jesus this, under our foot crushing of our enemies, salvation from our God. Why are their angels? to minister to us in Christ! Hebr. 2: Because of our position in Christ and angelic ministry on our behalf in Him, we must concentrate harder and harder, to the teaching about the Bible. Pay increasingly greater attention to Bible teaching or you risk drifting away, straying from the saviour and His love. 2:2 Since God's Word is sure and settled, unchangeable and perfect, so that each sin and failure we commit every proud selfish selfwilled disobedience, receives judgment from God, a sentence that must be carried out, in light of this how will we escape the gravitas, the weight of our punishment following us constantly at our heals if we neglect and pass by so great a salvation, deliverance and such a rescuer as Jesus is. Spoken through the Lord then confirmed to us by those who heard (indication of Pauline authorship), God the Holy Spirit confirming apostolic authority of these ministers with supernatural signs, wonders and miracles. even gifts of the Holy Spirit in concert with the will of God. God testifies to us with gifts of the Holy Spirit! 2:5 For God did not subject to Angels the world to come, but the Bible says Why would God the Son concern himself with mankind or even His prophet and incarnation, God the Son created him(us) a little lower than mere messengers, but only for a time. Then He would crown Him with Glory and Honor and appoint Him over all the works of His hands (Universe we now Know and the replacement to come.) Now God is putting all things crushing all His(our) enemies under Christ's (Our)feet. Grace is that though we are now under our enemies' feet, still all things are subject to Christ who is giving us the victory. We see Jesus, made for a time lower than angels that by Grace he should fully partake of death as a substitute for everyone. By God's grace Jesus tasted death for me! How shall we escape if we spurn so great a salvation? 2:10 It was just fitting right and appropriate for God the Son For Whom all things exist, and through whom all things exist, in the process of bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation, the humanity of Christ, mature and perfect, formed and completed through sufferings.

For both of us, sanctifier and sanctified are united in origin from God the Father. Therefore Jesus is unashamed of us, His Brothers sharing sonship when He says I will proclaim Your Holy name to my brothers in the assemblies(churches), in their midst I will join in their singing at gate 3. and "With my disciples(Isa. 8:16'17), I will have confident expectation and reliance in the Lord, I and the children-brethren God has given me." 2:14 Since these children brethren share both flesh and blood, the Son in His humanity as a partner in flesh and blood through death rendered impotent and toothless him who had the power of death, namely the devil By Jesus' act, the Devil is destroyed and we are freed!, the deceiver, So the son in this way delivered all who, through cringing fear of death, were servants to the deceiver throughout their lives. 2:16 The Bible teaches that Jesus doesn't save angels, rather He saves the seed of Abraham(the saved Jews as well as the gentile church).That is why He became like us, his brethren that He might be made into a merciful high priest, who trusts in Bible teaching and follows its commands in everything pertaining to God and make a reconciliation by atoning for the sins of the people by sprinkling his own blood over a heavenly throne, our mercy seat at the right hand of God, covering us, protecting us from God's wrath. Since our saviour was tested in His sufferings He is also able to comfort and deliver us when we suffer at gate 11. Hebr. 3:1 My Holy brothers, Partners in heavenly vocation, look away unto Jesus, the One Sent from God and High Priest the belief in Bible teaching we promote. 3:2 Jesus believed in the Bible Teaching of God Who anointed Him, "Messiah and Our High Priest," just as Moses also believed in the Bible teaching revealed to Him for His house. Every house has a builder, but God built everything. Moses was faithful to his house as a servant, a slave to things about which Christ would speak later. but Christ above His house which we are, conditional upon our clinging to a firm reliance and boast of our hope, our confident anticipation steadfast until the goal is reached. This belief in Bible teaching promises at gate 7 is why God the Holy Spirit says Today, if you hear his voice, putting it off is not allowed-Harden not your hearts-through putting it off-as when you provoked me in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your forefathers tried me by testing failed gate 7! me and I put them off forty years of perishing until they died in sin never entering in, 3:10 therefore God was angry with that generation that puts him off. saying "They perpetually rejected my gospel Bible teaching and never knew any doctrines leading to growth and maturity. That is why I swore in wrath 'They shall not enter my place of rest, neither heaven nor Canaan.'" 3:12 Beware, You start by putting off God with sin and unbelief in your heart, therefore you reject My gospel always. 3:13 Urge each other the more not to put off the Lord, Today is the only chance, tomorrow you will be hardened like Ramses by the lie of sin. 3:14 We are partners in fellowship with Christ as long as we are steadfast, our beginning assures we shall reach the end. 3:15 Today, when you hear the gospel call, don't harden your heart toward God and he puts your salvation off, until never! That Exodus generation put off God and perished in the desert wilderness after God swore those who rejected Him that day in disobedience to the gospel wouldn't enter salvation or Canaan. If we are locked out of rest and peace or salvation, like them, it is due our unbelief. 4:1 Fear then, that you miss out similarly on God's promise to you of entering his rest. 4:2 We each had a form of gospel Bible Teaching preached to us. they didn't profit from theirs, because they failed to believe the Bible teaching. How much worse if they didn't even assemble to hear it, like today. We who believe enter that rest, spoken of when God swore the rejecters of Bible teaching would not enter His rest. God's works were completed from the foundation of the world. But we complete the purpose when we trust in Bible Teaching. Then joyous rest truly begins. Joy in believing. skip to 3:8 Not a rest even going into Canaan meant but a rest in and from our diligence and care to remain in God's love system so the gates can lead us to maturity. It is a moment by moment Sabbath rest from completion perfection maturity or confidence that we for the most part abide and progress toward that rest. God's Word will tell us are we on the path following God or following the Exodus Generation to wrath and destruction. We can't hide our hidden thoughts and motives from God. Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens for us, we must cling to the Bible Teaching we promote. Jesus was tested more than us, He will help us through our challenges on the road to maturity. We must approach, eagerly anticipating the best to God's gracious throne Then we will find mercy and Grace to help in time of need. Hebr 5:1-4 Christ's Holy priesthood is from Melchizedek. King of Salem, neither Jew nor Levite. Jesus is both King and Priest although He is not a Levite(yet certainly is a Jew). We also share Royalty and priest status with him though we are neither Jew nor Levite except as happenstance. But this wholly replaces the Levite priests and their law. Small wonder they crucified Jesus. Priests are called of God in their orders and generations. So was Jesus also called. Hebr. 5:5 and 6 God's Son by generations and priestly order of Melchizedek, likely a theophany of the Son of God. 5:7 Jesus prayed to the Father with loud cries and tears, and God heard because of Jesus' humility and devotion. 5:8 But even though He was God's Son through His sufferings He developed and strengthened His virtue of humility. 5:9 After reaching gate 12 Jesus became the source of eternal salvation for all who humbly say “yes to Jesus” 5:10 Then God declared him a pries in the order of Melchizedek. 5:11 Failure to grow up spiritually impedes our spiritual leaders who have to lay again the basic principle such as Heb, 6:1 changing our mind about and abandoning our own human ways of courting God’s favor for salvation and growth and following instead God’s way of believing Bible teaching, 2. How that all believers are united with the crucified and resurrected Christ at salvation, that baptism with water confirms that to the young believer and the community and may even be the first act of faith for some. 3. God’s charismatic gifts and their exercise is by the laying on of hands from believer to believer. 4. How that Christ is the firstfruit of resurrection, some saints rose with Him as blessed by association. Then those We are His at His coming(us though we are blessed in close company with Christ until then. Some teach Old testament saints rise here. Then tribulation martyrs and, some, like me, say, Old Testament saints at the dawn of the millennium of peace. Finally the millennial saints, thought to be few at the resurrection to damnation at the dawn of the heavenly age(Great White throne judgment, when the lost rise from torments to be cast into the Lake of Fire). Let us go forward, (the Huguenot cry) God permitting. How can those who have forsaken their belief in the Bible’s teaching be helped to change their thinking and re-believe. They were in Christ Whom God gave for us, Christ’s light shone upon them revealing Christ’s love system, the Holy Spirit even sealed them as He did us. They even felt the benefits of believing the categories and principles of the doctrines taught in the Bible. They were even sensing the working of Satan’s mystery lawlessness and the hindering work of the Holy Spirit. If, after all that, they abandon their faith in, and commitment to, Bible teaching, there is no natural way to bring them to a positive change of thinking back in favor of devotion to Bible Teaching. Their own way to God’s favor, though they share the name as Christians, is to them re-crucifying the Son of God (He is glorified and resumed full operation of deity now) which exposes God the Son to public ridicule as having died in vain where these who shrank back as the Exodus generation did are concerned. 6:7 A Pauline parable, if Paul is the author, We may be the ground, watered by the water of the Bible Teaching we embrace, which we drink regular and often, we bring forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is tilled. Well for God’s sake we are tilled and what does He have to show for it? If it is what He wants, then we receive His blessing. What blessing do you want from God. Are you drinking at the Bible Teaching fountain or are you dry ground for God’s planting v.8 with only the thorns and thistles found on untended unwatered ground. Near to accursed, All produce to be shamefully burnt at the judgment seat of Christ. 6:9 I believe in you, Your works are the things that accompany your salvation implies an incongruous lack in the saved souls of v.8. 6:10 God’s justice demands He pointedly remember work and love shown toward His name. Do you work that Jesus love be known in the lives of others? Do you express love for Jesus by name? Have you ministered His name to the saints? Do you continue in it? 6:11 We want you to reach spiritual maturity. Put forth the same diligence to abide in God’s love especially at gates four and seven rejoicing in hope and resting in confidence we shall attain the goal of gate twelve. 6:12 This will motivate you not to be lazy nor slow, but followers of those who through belief in Bible teaching are realizing the benefit of God’s bequeathment to us who believe, who are being paid their inheritance from God now(as well as in eternity). 6:13 Consider How God granted an inheritance trust to Abraham saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. The Hebrew way of making a solemn oath. Abraham patiently waited endured persistently until he received the promised inheritance like we are promised an inheritance too. 17. God, to show us who are His heirs of the promise, with great force, how unchangeable is His purpose toward us, swore to us also with an oath 6:18 By two immutables, God’s veracity, reputation and Word, by these in which God is truth, We are the ones relying on God as refuge against the avenging devils and their human minions We sieze and hold the high ground of rejoicing in Hope that is set before us as Christ endured the shame of the cross for the hope also set before Him His Hope was us and our Hope is Christ our saviour, our rescue our refuge, our truest inheritance that we possess him and He us!! When the waves and winds tear us from belief in Bible Teaching, then we have gate four as an anchor of Hope for our soul. Rejoice in hope. that is sure and steadfast that enters within the veil. where Jesus is as a forerunner for us, a test pilot of all the gates of God’s Love System, having become priest for us after the order of Melchizedek. He partook of our flesh and blood, He partook of our Love System too. Hebrews 7:1 Melek tzedeq derivation roots for Melchizedek, King of Righteousness, For us Christ is our King and our Righteousness who made Peace (Salem) between us and God. Righteousness for us is at gate two, 1John1:9 for instance. This theophany was God most high, God the Son and was priest of His own self. Melch. met Abr. returning from a slaughter. and blessed him Not just any slaughter, but slaughter of the chief Kings of that day. For us, God intends to use us and to crush Satan under our feet. and if we do He will bless us. We have the blood of our covenant the blood of righteous Man, the GodMan the anointed to atone for us that will confound and condemn and drive away the Devil who is bloodguilty of murder and the Father of it and father of all lies who owns kingdoms he offered to our saviour he tested at gate 11. We have the blood and the name of Jesus, The Lord Jesus Christ our righteousness to apply and pray against Satan and his foul will. Abraham gave back to Jesus a tenth part of the spoils as the spoiled Kingdom of Satan to us, Satan the destroyed impotent and toothless of just prior study. Jesus had to be righteous to bear our sins as substitute on the cross, destroying the devil when he rose from the dead and winning us peace with God and over the defeated foe. v.3 our constant priest and guide through the love He has us abide in. v.7 Melch. blessed the one who had the promises. Jesus our high priest blesses us who have the promised inheritance the goal at gate twelve. That Christ received tithes of Abraham confirms replacement of the priesthhood of Levi and the Law they served. We serve as priest under the Law of the Holy Spirit of Life lived in Christ Jesus’ love system. Abide in my love.
